Good Morning,
When TDP exports data into a hidden tab, it automatically unhides the tab during the export—but leaves it visible after closing the file.
Is there a way to have TDP export the data without unhiding the tab at all?
Or alternatively, can it re-hide the tab once the export is complete?
Thanks in advance for any insight!
Hi,
Toad Data Point is doing this because even when inserting data in Excel, you need to unhide that sheet. As a workaround, you can do the following:
- In the Excel file, set that tab to ‘’VeryHidden’’
- To do that, right-click on any tab and from the context menu choose the View Code option
- On the left side, find the sheet you want to hide, and in the panel below, for the Visibility option, set ‘’Very Hidden’’
- Save the file
- From Toad Data Point, when you choose that file, the sheet will be listed, data will be imported into that sheet, but it will remain hidden on opening
Note: To unhide that sheet, you need to follow the same steps and change the Visibility option to ‘’Visible’’
I hope this helps
