Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum... so hoping you guys can help.
We are migrating our data to AWS which will be a mixture of S3 & Redshift for storage. I can see how to connect to Redshift... but can't find anywhere how to point to S3 objects (csv files).
Any ideas...
Dan
Hi,
have you tried connecting via ODBC or our Redshift driver?
We currently don't have S3 connection to test.

dan
Hi Dan, Yeah have managed to use the Redshift driver to connect. But can't see anything related to S3, do you know if its part of the product's roadmap? As most of our data will be in S3 and don't want to start investigating other tools.
Dan
Thanks.
It might be - I'll check. Stay tuned.
Hi @dan... Is there any update to this? It would be amazing to be able to write out Redshift query results to an S3 bucket.
Cheers, Bob
Hi Bob,
no, sorry no movement on this one. Can you describe how you would use this feature if it was available?
Hello,
We would write a file directly to an S3 bucket which was an external Spectrum Redshift table. I know we could write directly to Redshift, but at our company writing to an S3 bucket offers several benefits internally.
Does that make sense?
