Hi everyone, we released Toad for SQL Server v8.1 earlier this week. Below are a few of the enhancements included in this release. Besides these enhancements, we have added 4 of the ApexSQL products to the Toad for SQL Server Pro Plus Subscription and Toad for SQL Server Xpert Plus Subscription, ApexSQL tools added are:
- ApexSQL Build
- ApexSQL Doc
- ApexSQL Source Control
- ApexSQL Unit Test
Notable Toad for SQL Server enhancements:
- Toad for SQL Server now supports the Azure SQL Managed Instance Cloud database using the following authentication types:
SQL Authentication
Microsoft Entra authentication (Formerly known as Azure Active Directory): Multifactor authentication, Integrated Windows authentication
Windows authentication for Microsoft Entra principals - Toad for SQL Server now displays in-app messages informing users that they are entitled to product assets for additional software, and allows them to quickly download and use the tools from the Toad for SQL Server UI controls
- When users restart the Toad for SQL Server application with an active number of editor tabs within the user interface, those tabs open automatically and are available upon restart
- Run query option in the Context Editor menu: Users can now execute SQL scripts within the Editor working pane from the Context menu
