Are there any plans to enhance the Formatting options and\or Highlighting Styles in a future release?
If you set the Case of Keywords to Uppercase and Identifiers to Lowercase, then apply the formatting the Highlighting Styles then kick in, as you can see in the example CONVERT is a reserved word AND a function, the case is amended to upper-case but takes on the highlighting style of a function and the text of the word is amended accordingly.
Whereas datediff, year and getdate are all functions so all are formatted to lower-case and the colour of the text updated accordingly.
I know it’s down to each user to set up their own customisation but to me linking the formatting and highlighting options would really help.
