Toad-SS 5.6 - Object Explorer New feature request.
Excellent !!!
Thanks for thinking about it and getting it implemented. The position number
follows the Sp_Columns info… , which is a really good inclusion !!
I entered my request into the Idea pond, which I find wanting in the ability to
submit emails, with HTML images…
Yes, I could create a word or RTF document and submit along with the request,
but for now I will use both, because Lenka (bcc_d) has requested I use the
I-pond …
Maybe the I-Pond will get better with use, right now it is missing a few gears.
By the way I figured out something I needed and it is way interesting, a command
line to get all the columns from all the tables in one list for a targeted
database.
So Try it for yourself…
Use GCMA
go
Sp_Columns null , APP ,Null, null
Where the APP is the targeted SchemaName, then I exported all 7300 (+) columns
to excel and set the filter… See Graphic below
My developers use this list to find all like columns in multiple tables so as to
make sure the like field is declared appropriately in all applicable tables. See
Second graphic below.
Lastly, I copied in the ToadForDataAnalyst, Toad_SS and Toad-SS-Beta, for others
to see your good work !!!
Yeah !
