Object Explorer Column display options ( Version 5.5 and 5.6 and beyond)

What are the purposes of the Comment field and the # field in the object
explorer column ?

If they serve no purpose, please replace them with Null able declaration !

This surely could be a column display option

Also, do you plan to display extended properties at the various levels such as
table and columns.

FYI, I am creating new databases and I am creating extended property values that
I consider an extension of Object Metadata.

If these are not current options, please consider these request as new fetures.

Hi Hank,

We significantly improved this area in 5.6 and now you can customize column list
for your needs:

Also, in 5.6 you may find context menu for columns:

And YES, we assume to add actions to work with extended properties in the column
menu.

Valentin Baev

This bottom pane was improved from users requests.

From what I see the screen below for TSS 5.5, not 5.6. In v5.6 it looks like on
the screen below.

You can easily set up it for your need – right click the grid header and
see possible options.

YES, I had noticed it looked better in 5.6 (don’t have 5.5 loaded any
more)… Are these the extended Properties?
