TOAD SS 6.5 and data compare

I have this problem.

I compare two tables on different DB's. Tables are equals at metadata level.

They contains different records...

I compare the datas with your tool Data compare of TOAD SS 6.5.0.3001 .

I set to ignore blob fields.

All is OK and at the end of the story I start sync wizard to synchronize datas between these tables.

At this point appear the problem.

I open file DataSyncScript.sql and I see update on field - NOTE - . Note is a TEXT field type. I set to ignore blob field and if I remember correctly TEXT is a Blob type.

Have you some idea about this ?

I try TEXT and binary type in data compare, it really doesn’t ignore blob field in some case. We have create TSS-706 for this issue.

But I cannot got the error message. Would you like provid more details? Such like the Sync sql? Please feel free to contact me.

What's do you think of 2 Tables scripts ?

These 2 DB's are identical at metadata level. Everyone contains about 15 tables.

Do you want the scripts of all 15 tables for every DB ?

Thanks for your screenshot. So you select 2 database and data compare ,right?

Could you please try to use 2 tables which do not ignore the BLOG column when sync the script,?

if this issue still happen, I want to know the table’s structure,like all the column and datatype for each column or other constraint.

So I want the script of table.

Thanks for your details, We can reproduce it now, I’ve create TSS-719 for it.

At the last step of sync the data ,I select run the script immediately,I got the same error with you.

But if I do not select the option : run the script immediately(Choose open the script in editor),I can run the script successful.

Do you get the same situation with me?

Hi Sergio,

I am sorry we haven’t fix this issue in this Beta.

That exception cause the out of memory, we need some time to improve the performance of data compare.

only a curiosity…

I use a notebook with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of HD, and Microsoft Windows 7 professional at 64 bits.

Do you plan to improve performance of memory usage in next version ?
