Toad Subversion - CVS not connected

Hello,

We tried to make subversion in our toad(version 10.6) but when we do it appears some errors .CVS PROVIDER status not connected

We configure by ADMIN_ROLE from Server Side object Wizard.We created the team coding, however, the connection still not working

You are on Toad 10.6 – below are release notes sections on team coding of major toad versions since then. There are two key takeaways here – first that TC has
been greatly improved the last three versions (including new/updated VCS platform support), plus second and most critical – toad’s TC initial setup/configuration screen has made TC to VCS setup far easier and less error prone

So you might want to consider upgrading to 12.1 – remember
upgrades are free if you are current on maintenance ….

Version Control

ClearCase

Toad now supports IBM Rational ClearCase for version control.

Note : Toad has been tested with ClearCase Version 7.1 for Windows. ClearTool command
line is required. A working client view, mapped to the project VOB, must be set up the client computer before using in Toad.

Team Foundation Server

Toad now supports mapping to multiple Work Directories (as available with Team Foundation Server) on the new Workspace tab of the Team Foundation Server Login Dialog. Versions of Toad prior to
11.6 only permitted a single Work Directory (client folder mapping) for a Workspace.

Version Control and Team Coding

These improvements provide a streamlined, more seamless workflow.

In Toad, go to Help | Contents | Use Source Control for detailed instructions.

  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2012 is now supported.

  • The new Team Coding Dashboard uses the same toolbar button as the Viewer in previous versions.
    The dashboard provides a more unified view of all version
    control and Team Coding items.

    Team Coding Dashboard tabs:

  • Code Collections

  • Controlled Objects (replaces functionality of the Team Coding Viewer)

    You can now create a new revision and compile latest revisions for objects on this tab.

  • VCS Browser

  • The following enhancements were previously available only for items within Code Collections but are now available on the dashboard

    Controlled Objects tab:

  • Create new revision in VCS

  • Compile latest revision in DB

  • And these options, which are new in Toad 12.0:

  • Compare and Sync DB with VCS

  • Compare and Sync VCS with DB

  • Compare Contents for multiple items

  • Compare with object

  • VCS Browser tab:

  • Project window (LHS)

  • Create new revision in VCS

  • Compare and Sync VCS with DB

  • Details window (RHS)

  • Create new revision in VCS

Version Control and Team Coding

Git

Source control support for Git has been added. Toad handles standard check-ins, check-outs, and adds to a locally stored Git repository.

  • Git client for Windows must be installed. Git 1.8.3 mysygit.0 was tested.
  • Note that Toad provides no mechanism to push local changes to a remote server, pull remote repository changes into a local repository, or to merge differences with remote versions.

TFS Work Items

When using Team Foundation Server (TFS) in Toad, you can now check-in TFS Work Items and link one or more TFS work items to the check-in change set. (Idea Pond idea 525)

As Bert has said, there are many improvements to Team Coding and to the SVN Configuration in Toad 12 and 12.1 that should make configuration much simpler, so
an upgrade is highly recommended.

That said , I was able to make an SVN connection work in 10.6. The login window in 10.6 is confusing and it looks like this might be your issue. Assuming the
WebDav configuration settings are correct, your repository screen should look something like the screen below (i.e remove the
http://YourServer portion of the repository information). Please note: this is not the case in Versions later than Toad 12.

Also make sure that you have done an initial check out from SVN in to the Working Directory. The login will fail if you do not do this. Again, Toad 12 does
the initial checkout for you, so this step is unnecessary.

Thanks for help.

We figure out error. We use Tortoise SVN and it doesn’t provide direct SCC support. Therefore, a bridging software, such as PushOK SCC is required. Installed PushOK and error fixed.
