Excellent, I will do just as you have suggested

The reason why I used inserts is because I new about the go statement every 500
rows and one way is as good as another, so I thought… However, I have seen
the error of my ways I used the CSV with Bulk Load and BANG what a difference
that made…

Remember I did not have an ETL solution in place and there were too many servers
for which to obtain the data. The Bulk Load of 888.5K rows was done in less
than 20 seconds so the BLK Load is by far the best approach hands down.

The Toad-SS dump file feature will be really good as well, for I had found that
I had to make varchar(50) fields Varchar(250) on the CSV, when I got BULK Load
errors… Luckily they were easy to track down by row and column .

As for the new feature which will allow insert in to
Server1.databaseA.Schema.Table from a select from an entirely different database
connection will be an outstanding feature for TDA and Toad-SS. This goes along
with what I had suggested on having an ETL type tool in Toad-SS and Toad-DA so I
am VERY interested in this functionality especially if it can be integrated with
your other red-headed step child Automation. WOW what a terrific set of
solutions.

Just my humble opinion!!!
