Unable to see Tables or Synonyms in schema browser

Hi All,
I’m new here, apologies if my question already exists. I’m using TOAD 8.6 connected to Oracle 10g. I have connected to a database but when I open schema browser there are no tables or synonyms showing, but when I query with select * from cat; its giving me all the synonyms.

ANy inputs would be helpful.

make sure you are seen the proper schema where the db objects exists. in schema browser on upper left side you can select other schemas.
