Unique Keys and Not Null Constraints

DM (Ver 3.4.16.7) does not allow unique key columns to be nullable. What is the current status of this ‘rule?’ An older thread suggested making enforcement of the rule optional. I wholeheartedly agree. There are certainly situations where a nullable unique key is valid and is allowable in the DB.
