12.5.0.8 Picklist-dropdown - Performance

When working with larger documents, picklist-dropdown cannot be used any more with the new beta.

Reproduction:

  1. Generate Test-Procedure like this:
    SELECT ‘DECLARE t NUMBER; BEGIN’ FROM dual UNION ALL
    SELECT ‘t := dbms_utility.get_time();’ FROM dual CONNECT BY ROWNUM <= 300 UNION ALL
    SELECT ‘END;’ FROM dual;

  2. Copy/Paste the result into a new editor window

  3. Trigger picklist-dropdown.

  4. Wait
    The last time I tried it, I got an AV. ELF available if required.

This problem seems to depend on the position in the file, picklist is displayed immediately for first lines of source, and takes long for the last lines.

Please send the ELF.

Thanks,

Michael

ELF sent offline as requested.

I'm not able to reproduce the AV, but the performance when Available Identifiers are included in Code Insight results is terrible as the size of the source increases. This is fixed for next beta.

Thanks,

Michael
