Running the 12.5 beta it plainly says “Toad for Oracle (X64)” but despite downloading the 12.1 64-bit Commercial installer it doesn’t say X64. Did it install the 32-bit from the 64-bit installer? How can I tell for sure?

We don’t display 64-bit anywhere in the application title for the commercial release. The way you can tell is if you go to help > support bundle. (64-bit)
should be in the first line
