Access violation at address 0052476F in module 'toad.exe'. Read of address

#1

Hi All,

I hope you can help us with our issue with Toad for Oracle 9_7_2. Every time they access multiple databases at the same time they got the error “Access violation at address 0052476F in module ‘toad.exe’. Read of address 00000211.”

We tested Toad with different Oracle clients (10.2.020 and 11.2.010), but same result.

Appreciate your replies on this. Thanks! Happy New Year too!

I have seen this before… Some times it is a memory issue.

Another user had the problem every time she tried to execute a script…one
try one

…on try two it would be fine… we eventually re-installed toad on that one

We already reinstalled Toad 4 times already but they got the same issue =(

Question,

What version of TOAD supports Oracle 64bit Client 11.2

#5

After you re-install Toad, what do you do?

  1. Manually copy user files over from a previous install

  2. When Toad asks, copy user files over from a previous install

  3. When Toad asks, do not copy user files from previous install

That version of Toad does not exist until we can compile Toad as a 64-bit
application. For now, you will need to install the 32-bit oracle clients for
Toad to be able to make a connection.

From the Start menu, my computer, local disk C: \ Program Files \ Quest Software \ Toad for Oracle \ User Files, delete files ToadActions.dat, ToadActions.log and ToadActions.err, copy from another desktop and ToadActions.dat ToadActions . log.
