Bind variables not working in Toad for DB2 LUW Freeware version 5.6.0.2916

I upgraded to the 5.6 freeware version of toad and the bind variables in my queries no longer work:

select * from SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1 where IBMREQD = @test

gives error:

ERROR [07001] [IBM] CLI0100E Wrong number of parameters. SQLSTATE=07001

I have the same problem. There is a solution?

I think they added a setting in that version to enable/disable bind variables in the editor. When they hobbled the free version, I think they forced that setting to diasbled. I haven’t found a workaround, I reverted to 5.1

You have found a bug in our v5.6 freeware.

I have opened TDB-1047 to track this issue.

Thanks

Jeff

I don’t know how to look at TDB-1047, any idea when this might be fixed?

TDB-1047 is fixed in 6.0. TDB-1047 is an tracking number that you can see in the release notes under Resolved Issues.

Hmm, I don’t see it dev.toadfordb2.com/…/ToadDB2BetaRN.htm

If there is any config file workaround for getting 5.6 freeware to work, that would be great info to have.

Thanks.

This was addressed in our v6.0 freeware version.

That version will be ready and posted around mid-December 2014.

Until then you should be able to use the latest posted beta which also contains the fix.

Thanks

Jeff
