Hi Worapot,

Passing a piece of conversation exchange on this topic we had recently for other visitors:

For some background, CyberArk has tested Toad for Oracle and outlined their requirements here:(Toad).

As a security measure, CyberArk (acting as a key vault) can randomly change passwords. And so customers using CyberArk need a way to pass database connection details, including credentials, without frequently entering a new username or password into the application. To accommodate this, CyberArk requires applications to support passing database connection details including the username and password via the command line when launching the application.

For example Toad for Oracle allows users to open the app via the command line with the following syntax: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle 2023 R1 Trial Edition\Toad for Oracle 16.3 Trial\toad.exe "{UserName}/{Password}@{Address}[:{Port}][/{Database}] [{ConnectAs}]"

However other products like Toad Edge and Toad Data Studio, Toad for SQL Server, and Toad DB2 store database configuration details in XML or TCS files, and don't support passing connection details via the command line when launching the application at this time.
