Yesterday I just installed Toad 6, but after that, everytime I open SSMS I get a Toad-related error.
Toad for SQL Server: InvalidCastException
Unable to cast object of type ‘Microsoft.Management.SqlStudio.Explorer.ObjectExplorerService’ to type ‘Microsoft.Management.SqlStudio.Explorer.ContextService’
Any ideas?
Hi, it is known issue, see Release Notes (ST109699). You can contact Support to obtain hot fix.
I also uploaded hot fix here for the convenience: community-downloads.quest.com/…/ToadSSMSAddin.6.0_Hotfix.zip
Just copy and replace all files from archive to c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\MSEnvShared\AddIns\

He/she copied all DLL files from the hot fix, but it doesn’t work. Could you please help?

As you already know Toad has a plug-in which integrates into ManStudio and helps you to run Toad’s features from the context of ManStudio.
There is support for 2012 and 2008R2 versions only.
