I have a pl/sql (several actually) that I created and are scheduled to run at

different times (sometime multiple times a day.

It spools a .csv file that a blat job picks up and emails later.

Is there any way I can put some formatting commands in the .csv file

so the when the user opens it up, it is somewhat preformatted…

(i.e. column headings shaded like when you save your script output

as an excel file)

Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of using stored procedures you could use Toad actions to create XLS
files – but that has limited visual formatting options.

Ok I will look into that.
