How Do You Integrate Version Control Software?

I can’t find the documentation anywhere. What software is supported? How do you get it set up in Toad?

See if the wiki articles here help you: www.toadworld.com/…/9358.team-coding-vcs-integration.aspx.

Hi Steve,

THX for your post. I have some questions.

Tortoise, step 4
Create a repository in the Native File System (FSFS)

I do not have that option (or not known how to get that)
8(

Step A. TORTOISESVNSCC
“Download the zip file”

Which zip file?

"regsvr32 TortoiseSVNSCC.dll "
This is not possible in latest releadses of Toroise (there is no such a file)…

Stept C Toad, 3rd point there is a sentence:
“Click on VCS Provider Options and set the provider to PushOk SVNSCC (or Tortoise”

If I use Tortoise why did I have to install pushOK software?

Still not able to make it work … on Toad 12.5.0.4 beta

Hello Damir,

I will need details of your Toad and SVN/Tortoise configurations to provide a more complete answer.

There are 3 options using Toad with SVN

Standard SVN command line (recommended).

Download your preferred flavor of the SVN . We have tested with Collabnet SVN and Visual SVN. Set up a local workspace or let Toad configure it for
you. This interface supports Team Coding or File Base VCS Integration.

Tortoise SVN command line.

If you are using Toad 64 bit you must use the 64 bit version of Tortoise SVN. Toad supports this interface with File Based VCS Integration. There is
no support for Team Coding integration.

Tortoise SVN SCC interface.

I think this is the driver that is supported by PushOK. You will need to install a 32bit version with 32bit Toad. I am not sure if there is a 64 bit
version of this driver. A 64 bit SCC dll is required to run with the 64bit version of Toad. Toad supports the SCC API with File Based VCS and Team Coding. Some features are not available due to the limitations of the SCC API. The readme instructions that
we have for this driver say to use RegSVR32 to register the dll, though there may be an install version that does this for you. I would highly recommend using option 1 over this option.

Hi Damir,

It looks like you have the 64 bit version of Tortoise SVN installed. This is helpful information.

At this stage you should be able to configure Toad to use TortoiseSVN. (option 2 in my previous post).

Go to Options – Source Control and click the provider dropdown. You should set a Tortoise SVN Option.
