Morning Karen,
Version 9.5.0.31
I have that version too.
To change the default fonts, the instructions that you got from Erwin are correct for version 9.5.0.31 - Morning Erwin - apology in the post - right click, choose editing options, on editor/behaviour choose PL/SQL under the languages list, click edit button. On the highlighting tab, choose GENERAL and click the custom font button, choose a font, and OK back out all the way.
My current font (COURIER 10) doesn't show the Euro as a Euro, but as a '|' (Vertical bar).
When I changed the font, as per Erwin's fine instructions, to COURIER NEW (or VERDANA), it changed and displayed the Euro symbol correctly.
This works for AltGR+4 or ALT+0128.
Cheers,
Norm. [TeamT]

Missed a bit!
If you find that you still cannot get the Euro character to display in the MOE when using a font that does allow it to be displayed, is it possible that your installation of Windows is USA-Centric in some way?
Look in Control Panel -> Regional Options
On the General tab, at the bottom, what languages are set as default? Mine shows “Western European and Untied States” as the default and nothing else is ticked. Obviously, my Locale (at the top) is English (UK) but I don’t think that makes any difference.

Hi,
I have a pin code column showing “22” ( few rectangles ) from SQL Developer &
Toad. ( DB console as well ).
Based on Erwin’s mail ; this seems to be a font issue. ( Thank you ! )
The thing is I tried using quite a few fonts from UltraEdit to decipher what
it’s actually supposed to be … no luck ! Any other way to find out which font
is the right one ?
The DB has AL32UTF8 / UTF8 characterset with arabic text which work fine on all
columns except the pincode.
Any insights ? Thanks.
Sam.
