how to export customized highlighting style

hi,

is it possible to export the highlighting styles? I’ve done a complete customization of the foreground and background colors with RGB values in 6.5.

Now I’ve updated to 6.6 and the migration doesn’t include the color values of the highlighting styles. What is now the easiest way to get the old values in the new version?

Hi Frank,

Sorry for your inconvenience. We have TSS-185 for this issue.

For now, we can try to copy an file from 6.5 Application Data Directory to 6.6’s.

Step:

  1. Close 6.6 ToadforSQLServer.

  2. Find the 6.5 application data directory.

Open 6.5 ToadforSQLServer. Help->About->Application Data Directory.

Path Like: C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for SQL Server 6.5\ \Templates\Languages

  1. Find file: Language.SQL.SqlServer.merge.xml

4 .Copy this file to 6.6 version Application Data Derectory same place.

  1. Launch 6.6 version and try again.
