Number of records displayed vs count(*) different.

Toad for IBM DB2

I have a query that I’m expecting to display 50903 records. But when I display all the records I only get 50902 records. When I wrap the query in a SELECT COUNT(*) I get the count I expect (50903).

I was told by a co-worker that there is a ‘bug’ with toad for db2 where this could happen.

Any one ever heard of this? if so, anyone have a fix?

I’m running TOAD for DB2 4.7.1.638

There was a bug in v4.7.1 that was fixed in v4.7.2 way back in 2011 - this was captured and addressed in ST87506.

I suggest you upgrade to our Toad DB2 v6.1 release as it is our latest release and contains the most recent enhancements and fixes.
