Occasional Toad v11 bug when trying to save a file into a different dir

I’ve got a folder structure where I store my scripts into different folders, depending on what release, general sql script, etc they are, but I’m working on multiple things at the same time, so I’m having to save files into different directories.

I’ve noticed that occasionally when I’m trying to save scripts from the editor, when I drill down into a folder structure, I don’t always see the contents of the folder - irritating when I’m trying to click into a subfolder!

Usually going up and back down into the folder is enough to refresh it to show the contents.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

It appears to happen most often when I’ve opened a new editor, and I go up two levels of folder, and then back down into a different one (sometimes it’s going down into the 2nd level where the issue occurs, but the issue usually occurs when going down into the first level)

This is known and I’ve contacted the component developers that make the dialogs
we use. They are unable to reproduce as am I. Without a reproducible test case
it’s difficult to tackle this one. We’ve been discussing the idea of going away
from that component set and using something else for various reasons. When we
find a suitable replacement we’ll go for it.

Ok; thanks for the update.

(The panic I had the first time I encountered this issue - all my folders, gone?!)

I, too, have noticed that. Besides the up-and-back routine you can simply
right-click on the empty screen and choose refresh. The font is different, but
it does give you the list you’re expecting. J

Ooh, you've got me intrigued now - I'll definitely try that next time it happens!!

Me as well. Considering that’s Microsoft functionality at work, it kinda
makes one very curious as to what MS was doing in the background.
