Open File Dialog Issue

Don’t know if anyone else has this problem. It didn’t happen under Toad 9.7 &
earlier.

Sometimes, when I use the Open File option and am navigating through (network)
folders by double-clicking, instead of getting the contents of the folder, the
entire area of the files is greyed out. If I go back using the Up One Level or
Back button and try again, I either get the greyed out area or it comes up with
Windows Explorer instead! Next time it happens I’ll get a screen shot, but it’s
not an every day occurrence.

I’m using Toad 10.1.1.8 under Windows XP Pro.

I have had something similar happen too, but it just happens once and a while
and I cannot reproduce it, so I didn’t report it. Also, sometimes I navigate
three levels down and then on the fourth it goes back to c:/ and I cannot
navigate away from it. I have to close the Open File dialog box and try again.
But it usually works the 2nd time.

I used to have this problem on my old computer (xp, mcafee antivirus), but I
haven’t seen this since I use windows 7 (and security essentials), so far.

My coworkers still run into this, occasionally.

My boss made a short video of this issue. If someone from quest/toad wants to
watch this video, I can send this offline…

A colleague and I have experienced something similar in Toad 9.7.
Double-clicking our way down through the folders we come to one where we cannot
go any further. Back up one level, try again, and success. We blame M$ Windoze;
it’s obligatory isn’t it?
