You need to supply a lot more information I’m afraid:

  • Version of Oracle database
  • Version of Oracle client in use by Toad
  • Version of Toad

Some versions of Toad are older, ditto clients etc and may not “know” about this data type. I know I have problems with Oracle 9i client on 10g databases when selecting from TIMESTAMP WITH TIMEZONE data types.

Apparently Norm forgot to ask his question…

Question for confirmation, you’re using the 32 bit Oracle 11g client,
correct?

Roger S.

Evening Roger,

Apparently Norm forgot to ask his question…
Nope, just making sure it hit the correct group - toad as opposed to
toadsql.
