OT: Visual Studio developers, now work with Oracle in VS

Our Toad family is getting a little bigger. Quest has developed an Oracle data
provider for Microsoft’s Visual Studio Team System 2010, Development
Edition .

The long story in short form is basically this: whatever you’ve been able
to do for SQL Server, you will now be able to do for Oracle using the Quest
extension. As we do for all of our products, we are beta-testing the technology
and looking for input on the technology. The official information is
below…if you want to provide feedback, you can do so via the new Toad
community .

Thanks for letting me interrupt your day for this little commercial.

One last thing, if you’re in the Las Vegas area or are attending the ODTUG
Collaborate or Microsoft’s Dev Connections conferences in April, you can
stop by the Quest booth for more info on our database tools and pick up more
Toad t-shirts – you can’t have too many you know.

Jeff

Are you going to the party!?
We’ve spent the last two years working on the Toad® Extension for Visual
Studio so w e’re going to Vegas to celebrate with Microsoft the launch of
both products! Will you be there? Come by the Toad booth and see how you can
seamlessly integrate your Oracle workflow into Visual Studio 2010. While
you’re there, pick up a t-shirt or other fun prizes!

I would not disparage such a fine meat by-product with a visual studio
comparison – simply unfair to Spam and Spam lovers. Heck even spam mail is
better than visual studio for many people J
