Hi Cindy,
If the object or file is controlled in Team Coding, the “Check out” Icon on the tool bar should become enabled. Checking out automatically adds the object if
it does not exist. The ‘Add File’ popup menu item on the Editor window, is for File based source control (not Team Coding).
You can easily be forgiven for “missing something” as I think this is confusing and a a case of “that’s how its always worked”. Perhaps a use interface tweak
for 12.5 is required.

Hi,
I’ve tried many ways many times to add a new database object and also a new non-database file to Team Coding and the VCS. In almost all cases, I can only access the ‘Add File’ icon from the
right click menu (Source Control>>Add File).
I cannot figure out how to get the Add File option to appear on the Team Coding toolbar or under Utilities>. Team Coding. The only icon that appears on either of these is the Check Out, but
the file isn’t even added yet.
Am I missing something or is this a defect?
