Hi,
Does any body know why the job manager button has been removed. We use Jobs (not schedules) extensively here. To migrate to schedules will involve 100’s of hours of work.
looks like our upgrade path with SqlNav is now over after 15 years!

Our apology for making Job manager a deprecated feature in 7.1. The reason is that we added 64-bit Oracle client support in 7.1, while Job Manager is a standalone exe which does not support 64-bit
Oracle client. The Job Manager exe is mainly under development. However, wo do have a task to add Oracle jobs support back in a future release.
At the moment, you can copy the jobmanager.exe from a previous version installed folder and run it in any place. The only thing it requires is a default 32-bit Oracle client. Please let me know if using this exe as a workaround works for you or not. We will
keep you posted on the implementation of Oracle jobs.
Thanks,
Vincent

Hi Vincent,
Thanks for the reply. I’ll do as you suggest, and look forward to its re-incarnation in a future release (any idea which one?)
Cheers
Garth

Hi Garth,
The task (SQLNAV-1643) hasn’t been assigned to a version yet. I can only tell you that it is not included in the 7.2 list. I will let you know once we know
which version we are going to implement it.
Thanks,
Vincent
