Hi,
if I create a sequence through a script in the editor, create sequence test_seq, it is put in TC and visible in TCM and tcx_objects. If I however use the new sequence button in Schema_browser, the sequence is created but not visible in TCM and in tcx_objects.

Good catch. I see this too. Probably true for any object that has its own create/alter window such as views, tables, constraints, indexes, etc.
