Sharing Code Snippets, Search/Replace, Formatting, etc.

Over the years I’ve created a number of search/replace macros, code snippets, formatting standards and optimized my Toad settings for the way our team works. We recently added a new team member and figured that I could just copy my Toad settings over to his computer. At first it appeared that this worked great, until I noticed that my Toad now had changes he had made. That was when I realized that my syncing to DropBox was duplicated on his computer so we kept overriding each others settings (like connections!). Fortunately, I am able to copy my settings from the beta, so I’m back to where I want to be there.

I’ve turned off his syncing to DropBox because I can’t find a way to change which DropBox account is used. But this begs the question, is there a good way for teams to share things like these? Ideally, it would be something that happens automatically instead of requiring us to copy files back and forth.

If your coworker turns off myToad and enable user files sync in options on the Online tab that will do it. If they wish to do the same re-enabling should prompt for the account to use.

Is there a way to share the other kinds of things (or have a central location that an entire team accesses) in general without having to copy settings between computers?
