A quick update and apology for users who might have received a number of spam emails from the forums last night. We’ve had a rash of attempts from a Korean gambling site to post their spam messages to our forums. While we’ve been quite successful at blocking their attempts, yesterday afternoon as part of the clean-up process to permanently remove these from our system, some accidentally were made visible on the site for a few seconds. This had the unfortunate side-affect of being passed on to users who have their forum subscription set up to receive a notice on every post. My very sincere apologies for that mistake. We’ll be much more diligent in our clean-up efforts going forward.
