Also, if you don’t mind resetting your users files to the default - you could go to Utilities > Copy User Settings > Create a clean set of user files from
the base installation. When you do this, it’ll create a new set of user files with default settings and will create a copy of your existing user files as well in the ‘Toad for Oracle’ folder called ‘12.1_bak’. This would be a way to test if it’s some setting
that might be causing the problem.

Since upgrading to toad for oracle xpert 12.1.0.22 last week whenever I press shift+arrow key to start highlighting some text it is like it gets stuck in select mode and i cannot get out of
it. For example, type this is a test and hit enter. then arrow key up to the word “is” and select it by pressing shift+right arrow. from then on you cannot get out of select mode.
also, the cursor will no longer wrap around to the next line, you have to press the down arrow key to move between lines, even when you come to the beginning or end of a line.
