SQL Navigator with Team foundation server 2008

HI,
Currently I am using SQL navigator 5, Visual studio 2008 as development tools and use Visual source safe 2005 as source control system. We are planning to migrate to Team foundation server 2008 as our new source control but i am not able to find any support for TFS 2008 with SQL navigator or TOAD.

Please suggest.

Hi Manoj,

SQL Navigator v 6.x currently supports Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2005.

We will be adding Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2008 to the list in the next release of SQL Navigator.

We only tested the v6.x with Microsoft Team Foundation Server2005, but I would expect SQL Navigator v5 should be able to handle it. I would suggest that you try it out first.

Thanks for the quick response.
You will add TFS2008 support in next release that means SQL Navigator 6.2 Beta (Build 1498) will support it or we have to wait for the next version of this.

you are very welcome.

Sorry, I did not make it that clear. We will try to add TFS2008 officially to the list after v6.2.

If you already have TFS2008 setup, you could try it out with the current Beta 6.2 (build 1498) if you wish.

After install the latest MS SCC provider, you should be able to select the SCC Microsoft as the provider for Team Coding in SQL Navigator.

My apology that we could not provide more info on TFS2008 at the moment, as we do not have the envi on hand yet…Hope that the info would help.

Hi Bruce,

I tried SQL Navigator 6.2 (Beta) with TFS 2008 and it works. bit with Navigator 6.1 it didn’t worked.
Could you tell me the release date of SQL Navigator 6.2

Navigator 6.2 will be available for download later this week.

I am not sure this is the right place to ask this question.
But it would be helpful if you can tell the price of SQL Navigator 6.2 (3 developer license) in following 2 scenarios?

  1. New License Purchase for 6.2
  2. License upgrade from previous SQL Navigator version to 6.2
