TeamCoding with SubVersion

Hello,

we want to to convert our VSS repository to SubVersion.

Is there already a possibility to use SQL Navigator’s Team Coding support with Subversion?

Hi Philipp,

Unfortunately we’re not supporting Subversion for Team Coding. But it is targeted for future release (post 6.0).

We will let you know when it is available in a beta version so you can try it out.

Hi,

This CR is currently targeted for 6.3 and has a medium priority. It’s still unknown as this stage which 6.3 beta build will have this feature.

Hi All,

daniel.roeder could use subversion in Nav using PushOK SVN SCC.

Please refer to another post created a while ago:

While SQL Navigator does notcurrently support Subversion directly, You can use a SCC-compatible"bridging" program such as SVN SCC proxy(http://www.pushok.com/soft_svn.php) to act as an interface between NAVand Subversion.

We have briefly tested SVN SCC Proxy and theredoesn’t appear to be any issues using it. SVN SCC Proxy is free totry, and we would suggest that you try it out and see if it would meetyour requirement.

SVN SCC proxy is the SCC API plug-in for any Microsoft SCC enabled IDE (MSVC 5.0-7.0, Borland C++ builder, Delphi).

The cost for this add on would be around $35 USD per seat.

Hello,

I’d like to ask about progress in development / or plans. Current version of SQL Navigator is 6.4 and beta version is 6.5 but there is still no support for Subversion :frowning:

Hi,

Our apology for not being able to get support for subversion yet. We have not been able to include it in the next rleease v6.5 release. The subversion CR is currently targeted for v6.6 release.

We will inform you all as soon as we could implement the changes required.

i have noticed that release 6.6 of SqlNavigator is available.

However no sign of teamcoding with SubVersion. Any update please?

Thank you for checking on it and getting back to us.

We have not been able to provide the changes yet as the subversion support will be part of of the migration work of our current code bases to the latest release of Delphi 2009/XE2 which will be SQL Navigator v7.0. If everything goes as planned, we would like to provide the first drop beta v7.0 to you all in the Community sometimes early next year.
