Taking a coffee break…

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you

an idea came up offline – is your default printer mapped to one which is
far away by any chance?

no – the printer is 10 feet from my desk.

Can you move it closer, say 5 feet, and try again?

Just kidding : )

Are you on Toad 10 or 9.7?

I can get within a foot.

But more seriously, you raise possibly a good point. The company I work at
recently rolled out a new printer configuration which uses the HP Universal
Print driver (Ver 4.7.0.30). All printing has gotten slower as the print
driver does it’s dance with the printer, figuring out which features are
available and which aren’t. I’ve seen word documents that used to
print almost immediately, take an extra minute or two while the print driver
gets ready to print.

Just checking back in – I really don’t have more ideas. There was
one minor change made in that area which will be in for the 10.1.1 release in
December. I suggest installing it alongside 9.7 and seeing if there is a
difference.
