I may have missed this in the release notes for 3.5 but in future releases I think it needs to more clear when the application directory changes:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell
The directory change has required custom executable files to be updated because it isn’t consistent with releases since TDA 2.7.
You could still install it in the old directory and not have to change your files. Anyway, I doubt we will be moving companies any time soon so that path will stay the same.
Debbie,
I uninstalled and reinstalled into the Quest directory and got the following error at startup:
System.IO.FileLoadException
Mixed mode assembly is built against version ‘v2.0.50727’ of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information.
Stack Trace:
at Quest.Toad.Formatting.SqlFormatter.UpdateDefaultFormatter()
at Quest.Toad.Loading.InitStep.PerformStep()
at Quest.Toad.Loading.AssemblyInit.InitBackground()
Nevermind, when you select a new directory it drops the folder “Toad Data Point 3.5”. I didn’t realize that so I installed directly into Quest Software
