Toad 6.5: Collation errors when altering a table

We seem to have gone backwards with TOAD 6.5 unfortunately.

When ever I am wanting to alter a table in my database (either production or test), I am now getting Collation errors

Cannot resolve the collation conflict between “SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS” and “Latin1_General_CI_AS” in the equal to operation.

I am not getting these errors in either Toad 6.1 or SQL Server Management Studio 2005.

I have no choice now but to go back to Toad 6.1 for my work, as it’s hampering our ability to use our databases effectively.

Please fix urgently.

Thank you

Awesome mate! Thanks

Any idea when the next release will be available for sql pro edition - am desperate for a fix to equals collation failures!

Hi Peter,

We need to wait until the next year to get the next production release. The latest beta has addressed this error (by TSS-616). Would you please download the
latest beta and try it out? It is available on http://www.toadworld.com/products/toad-for-sql-server/toad_for_sql_server_beta_program/default.aspx

Thanks,

Vincent

Just an update. This bug is also not seen in the latest TOAD 6.7 beta
