Toad can't seem to find MS-Excel

Howdy,

My office has a license for V2.6 of Toad. I just got a new office computer and we loaded V2.6 onto it. However, it does not seem to recognize the location of MS-Excel. Whenever I do a query, press Run Query button, and then press the Send to Report button, I get the following message:

Error opening report

Attempt to access invalid address.

Please confirm that Microsoft Excel has been installed on this system.

Well MS-Excel is on my system…but Toad still doesn’t see it. How do I get it to recognize MS-Excel?

Toad V2.6 worked perfectly fine on my old computer, but just not the new one.

Josie

Are you on Toad for Oracle? If so, did you mean v12.6?

I am on Toad for Data Analysts V2.6.

I have moved this thread to the Toad Data Point forum.

Can it possibly be your use case?

Thanks,

Igor.

Yes, I believe it is the same issue. I think I know how to get this fixed now. Thanks Igor!

Probably in a year from now we will move to Windows 10 and Office 2014. Will TDP support those versions by then?

We are working on windows 10 support now. Next up would be Office 2014.

Hi Greg

Do you mean Office 2016? I did a quick test for Office 2016 preview. Works good for Export and Import.
