Toad Data Point Trial Gets Error Message for Each Task Schedule Ran

Hi, we’re using the Toad Data Point professional 3.3 Trial version and we have a few test tasks set up to run daily on Windows 7. While leaving Data Point closed and allowing the task to run, each task gets the pop up error from Toad saying “Toad Data Point - Pro Trial has stopped working”. “A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please check the program.” Again the process runs fine, so I’ve just been hitting “Close the program”, but it comes up each day for every schedule it runs.

I just wanted to check and see if this is a known issue and if there’s a possibility we will see this when the purchase for the product goes through and we are on a production version?

Thanks!

This sounds like the issue in the third party known issues of the release notes. The solution is to upgrade your .net version to 4.5. Let me know if this resolves
things.

Also, let me know what else you need for automation. It is my favorite subjectJ

Did this resovled this issue?

I have this same problem. I’ll get to the office and find 4 errors waiting for me. I am not in a position to upgrade my .Net, as 4.0 is my company’s standard. Is there another solution to this problem?

This is not a trial, by the way.

This is a known issue. The bug is in the .net 4.0 framework. There are no work arounds. The only fix is to upgrade to .net 4.5. Or you could go back to Toad Data Point 3.2 which is built on the .net 3.5 framework which does not have this problem.
