[ToadforDataAnalysts] Quick Export failure
Alan and Tad,
I work on the Toad-SS product as a user and I have successfully imported over
300K rows and I believe that you need a big honking system like my desktop of
8gb and Windows 7-64 to not have issues. Recently, It was a reported that
Toad-SS had row count issue, which I have not been able to reproduce, but that
issue should be in the knowledge base.
As a rule of thumb I always do a select count or use another utility I wrote to
make sure of the row count before I import into excel.
Lastly, a QA person here was performing an import via SSMS and she dropped over
100k rows in the cut and paste process so the word here is know how many rows
you need to import and check the count in excel taking nothing for granted.
