The same exception occurs on a clean installation.
To reproduce, you need to navigate to the View - Options - Color schemes.

I'm really looking forward to the fix because my eyes are used to the dark theme.

Temporary fix is to remove
VCLStyle=
line in the Toad.ini file.

You could just keep using 17.1 for the next week. :smiley:
