Ability to move Editor window to different active database connection

I would like to propose a feature that would greatly enhance our workflow within the Editor window. Specifically, it would be beneficial to have the option to switch the database connection that the Editor window executes against.

Currently, when I am working on a saved Editor window connected to Database A and wish to execute the SQL statements in that file against Database B, I face a cumbersome process. I have to manually select the connection for Database B, reopen the file, or copy and paste the SQL into a new Editor window for Database B. This often leads to issues, as the SQL statements stored in a single file are typically grouped by a specific topic I am researching. When I have the file open in two instances, it becomes challenging to keep them in sync. Additionally, there are times when not all SQL statements are copied back to the original open file in Database A.

Having the ability to seamlessly switch the database connection within a single Editor window would be incredibly useful. It would allow me to maintain just one copy of the file without the worry of syncing discrepancies.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe it would significantly improve our efficiency.

Best regards,
Scott

This button sets the session. All windows in Toad that use a database connection have it or something similar. Clicking the button area (where the icon is) will open the Login window where you can make a new connection. Clicking the little drop arrow alongside the image will show a session menu that shows you active and recent connections. You can select from an active connection to bind the Editor to that session or you can select a session from the Recent menu to make a new connection from your recent sessions list.

Thank you. Works just like I was expecting. It was always right in front of my eyes, but so happy you help me to see it.
