I got a chuckle today when I saw this question in the Ask Tom site:

I don't see where this was ever asked here.
BTW: Connor's statement "it sounds to me like you're paying a nice hefty license fee for something that doesn't work. SQL Dev is free, as is SQLcl" is utterly false on two levels: 1) TOAD is SO much more than those others, and 2) TOAD works if you use it right.

Yeah, I see that I had not looked back far enough. It is here, and I had even posted to that thread, LOLs.
I'm glad we were able to help her without disparaging another company's product. I have great respect for Connor, but his comment about TOAD was inappropriate. There was no reason to think that the problem was TOAD itself as his comment more than implied. Moreover, TOAD is a much different and more robust product than SQL Developer and SQLcl. Both of those are great for what they do, but they do not do all that TOAD does. Oracle has no product that compares with TOAD.
