Automation designer

For the SQL Iterator feature how do you create a child action in the form of %Query Iterator1. to reference the query result?

Hi Jim,

See my reply here. At the bottom is a link to my dropbox folder that has some docs that should help.

Here's a link to the folder:

The doc: "Automation Designer: Choose which script to run based on a variable" uses a query iterator with a script.

Let me know if you still have questions.

That is not what I'm looking for.
When I run the Query Iterator it has in the Properties screen a message line that reads:
Child Actions may use variables in the form of %Query Iterator 1.% to reference the query result.

It does not explain how to do this with an example.

What would you like to do with the result? I am asking so I can give you a relevant example.

Nevermind, I just found your correct document which I believe answers my question. Sorry I read the wrong doc before.

Thank you for the download, I believe it is exactly what I'm looking for.
I wish Quest had some good tutorials on the Automation Designer as it is really a valuable tool.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've been thinking that I should add some examples with iterators in the "samples" folder in automation designer.
