Now:

  1. Returns to my configuration

  2. "Do something I know will leave Toad process running"

  3. Main Window closes BEFORE queries

  4. Toad process running.

  5. Start Toad

  6. Disable Color Schemas

  8. Main Window closes AFTER queries

  9. Toad process IS NOT running.

Conclusion
Toad process remains running when Color Schemas is enabled.

From your screenshot it looks like you were using the Charcoal theme. Is this correct? I am unable to reproduce the issue using this theme and from your latest tests it looks like the trigger for you is just the theme and no other settings.

Which version of Windows are you using?
Is this a Citrix or VDI environment?
Are you connected over remote desktop?

Good morning, in my case it has not yet been resolved.
I close Toad and (sometimes) the toad image freezes and doesn't close)

Hi Carlos,

I'm sorry to hear that. We thought we fixed the "Toad not closing" problem a month ago.

Can you zip up and send me your user files folder? Send to john.dorlon@quest.com

Thanks

John

Good morning John!

I sent you the zip file that you requested, could you review it?
What is the reason why, in my case, I still have the problem?

Hi Carlos,

I just looked in my email and didn't see it. Can you send it again? Sorry about that.

-John

Ready, I sent you the zip file today.

You download it from Google Drive.

Hi Carlos.

Thanks, I got your files and tried them with the latest beta. I made a connection, then shut down. For me, it shut down normally.

Which version of windows are you using? I tried with Windows 11.

-John

Have

Edición: Windows 10 Pro (64b)
Versión: 22H2

Toad for Oracle Base (64-bit)
Add-Ons:
17.1.684.3584

Within weeks, it would always freeze when I opened the "Schema Browser" and then proceeded to close the toad; As more days passed it was no longer always like that.
In short, now, for me it freezes randomly, sometimes it closes and many times it freezes and I have to go to the task manager to kill toad.

It freezes much more times than it closes.

Hi Carlos,

I tried on Windows 10, opened a schema browser and a few other windows. For me it closed ok again. I don't know what the problem is but I'll use your user files for a while to see if it happens later.

-John

Thanks, I'll be on the lookout for a solution.

I have to be honest with you - since nobody else has reported it, I don't think I'll be able to reproduce it.

Does it help if you turn off this option? I think that was the cause of it last time.

Thanks John, I'll do what you tell me, I hope it gets fixed.
