Couple of points. First, we dropped the new database wizard in Toad – so you must be using an old version. We dropped it because Oracle DBCA utility was better
at keeping up with all the new features and nuances for creating a database. Second, learning how to create, configure and connect to an Oracle database is really not a Toad question per se – so wrong forum. For example if you created the new database, you
probably now need to configure Oracle listener via the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora file, or better yet use Oracle’s NETCA.
