I had bunch of connections in my login dialog and yesterday power went off when
I try to open it asked me there is a tool bar setting changed do you want to
retain old tool bar or changed, I said No. Now application asked me there were
few scripts left do you want to recover, I s aid Yes. Then prompted for sign in
but I have lost all connection I made earlier and there wer e non e in the list.
Also all my grid settings were changed.
Why I should lose conne ctions list made earlier ?

To delete startup scripts (on startup) you should remove some files. They are in “%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\11.0\User Files”.
So change to that dir
cd “%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\11.0\User Files”
(where recheck “\11.0” directory…that must match your Toad version) and delete *.tmp files.
After that restart Toad and no scripts recovery should not be shown.
Then your connections should be shown.
P.S.
A little worry me your statement that you cannot recover scripts, because Toad is doing that without connection passwords…just opened file in editor… but please understand me that I do not know the exact behavior of 11 version (I’m on latest 12.5.1).

Your connections are saved in the same dire (as previously stated) in “CONNECTIONACTIONS.INI” and “CONNECTIONS.INI” file
Passwords for them are in “CONNECTIONPWDS.INI” file
