Toad does not perform automatic updates and Toad 12.8 has had no updates since its initial release. Was this a Windows update or some system update performed by your organization?

Oh, sorry. It must be Windows Update then.
I have a backup of directory 12.8 less than two months ago.
How do I go about restoring the connections?

With Toad closed, copy ConnectionActions.ini, ConnectionPwds.ini, and Connections.ini from your backup to your User Files folder.

As I mentioned, the folder 12.8 is missing. Here is the screen capture of folder "Toad for Oracle". I think folder "12.8" should be under "Toad for Oracle"
