Data compare for specific tables/columns in database

I have used data compare with Excel data connections before and it works great. I tried to do one on a database yesterday, and after the compare wizard analyzed the databases, it displayed a list of tables. I want to select only a handful of the tables, and choose which columns to compare. Is this possible? Or do I have to construct select statements choosing the tables and columns, export the data to Excel, and then use Excel data connections? I didn’t want to have to create a bunch of Excel connections, which is why I went the database route.

Yes, you can choose the source-target tables pairs to compare, and even choose not only the columns to compare, but the rows as well.
