Data Pump Import doesn't start

Hi,

I'm trying to import a data pump dump file from another Oracle DB into my test DB using Toad Data Pump Import.

Everything seems OK - the .dmp file is in the default directory (DATA_PUMP_DIR) and I have selected "Perform Import", but when I click the green start arrow the Data Pump Import Watch window opens, but nothing happens. There is no output at all.

The parameter file looks OK as far as I can tell, and when I check the directory the .dat file has been created. What might I be doing wrong?

hard to say, but it sounds like maybe impdp isn't connecting.

Have you tried calling it from command line using the parameter file that Toad created? you might get some better output, or clues as to what's going on that way.
